"Valentines" Family Service

An informal service for all ages with interactive song, activities and prayer.

 

Wednesday 8 February 7.30pm

"How to manage your anger"

Continuing our series looking at the Ten Commandments.

There will be a DVD presentation, coffee and discussions.

St George's Fellowship

The evening's speaker is Martin Wood, Town Crier of Shrewsbury

Ash Wednesday Service amd Prayer Vigil

Traditional Ash Wednesday service of Holy Communion with (if you would like) the sign of the cross in ash anointed on your forehead, which is a very ancient tradition. It will be followed by a prayer vigil. This will be a traditional vigil from 8pm until midnight and will be lead by the vicar. The church will be open for people to come in for however long they wish and join in the prayers, light a candle or simply be at peace in times of silence and listen to the vigil music.

 

Sunday 26 February 7pm

Café Church

An informal gathering around café tables with Fair Trade coffee, home-made cakes,

discussions, interviews, prayers and song.

 

Thursday 1 March

Lent course begins:  " Going for Gold"

There will be a daytime group meeting after the short service of Holy Communion (at 12.15) and a simple lunch. If you would like to come for lunch as well as the group please would you let the churchwardens know for catering purposes.

The evening group will meet at 7.30pm.
